Happy November everyone!  I hope you had a safe & fun Halloween.  We ended up trick or treating 3 different times.  Downtown Hendersonville, in our neighborhood, and then at the Hoopla event put on by Biltmore Baptist.  Peyton had a ball!!!

I'm so excited to finally get to share this session with you today!  This was a session that I shot over the summer for one of my #bmpseniormodels.

Kaila is a class of 2016 senior from North Henderson High School.  I'm really hoping these images portray to you her absolutely beautiful personality!

When we got together for her pre-session consult, she told me that she wanted to shoot at the North Carolina Arboretum.  After doing a little research, I found that the arboretum does not allow portrait sessions on their property.  So we quickly had to come up with other ideas to incorporate flowers into her session.

We finally decided on a couple of different locations.  We started at a nursery, then explored downtown Hendersonville a little, and ended up at Fletcher Park for her final look of the day.

Kaila's session is one of my absolute favorites from this summer.  I love everything about it.  Her style, her accessories, the flowers, her hair, the lighting, her personality, the location...  It just all turned out so beautifully.

The details in this white dress are so perfect.  I'm in love with all of the fun sleeve details that so many tops and dresses have these days.

We even ventured into the creek for a few shots during Kaila's session.  It always makes me nervous carrying thousands of dollars worth of equipment through running water on top of slippery rocks.  Thanks goodness for insurance!

She totally pulled off so many different looks and vibes during her shoot.  From soft and pretty, to edgy, to fun and happy.  Love them ALL!

This wall of yellow flowers makes really gorgeous portraits during the few weeks that they are in bloom.  And you all know how I love color.  They are the perfect way to add a pop of color.

Kaila, thank you so much for the fun morning of shooting during your session!  I truly did enjoy myself and am so in love with what we created together.  I hope you will love them for years to come as well.

So have you scheduled your senior portraits yet?  Can I give you a little advice?  Please don't wait until the last minute to schedule.  I've had a few people wait until the last minute for the season they want their portraits shot during, and then end up being stressed out by the limited availibility.  Many photographers are booked out at least a couple of months in advance.  So be sure to keep that in mind when thinking about your senior portrait session.  Another piece of advice is to not plan to have your senior session DURING your sport season.  Meaning, if you are a softball player, it's not always the best idea to schedule your senior portraits during the late winter and spring time.  Most athletes find that they are just too busy to fit in a portrait session during their season.  Just a few helpful tips!  :)
